Use this article to create a connector between Claravine and another platform, and then to configure the inbound integration.

When you set up a connector between Claravine and any other platform, you complete some simple steps in both products.

  • The Claravine steps are the same regardless of the platform you're connecting, and they're described in this article.
  • The platform steps vary depending on product, so consult the integration-specific article

For example, if you are integrating Claravine with Meta Ads Manager, consult both this article and "Claravine + Meta Ads Manager Integration."

Configure the Platform Connector in Claravine

To connect The Data Standards Cloud with another platform, you must create a connected account in The Data Standards Cloud, as described below. You may also need to perform certain steps in the other platform; refer to the platform-specific article.

To set up a platform connector in Claravine:

  1. In The Data Standards Cloud, navigate to Settings → Integrations → Accounts
    The Accounts page displays.

  3. Enter the following information for the account:
    • Account Name
    • Description (optional). We recommend entering a description to make it easier to determine the use of the account when creating targets.
  4. Select the connector tile for the platform you are integrating.

  5. Enter the credentials required for that platform.
    • These vary with the platform and may include a Customer ID, an Account ID, a Client ID, a URL, a Secret Key, a username, and/or a password.
    • Refer to the platform-specific article for details on the needed credentials, and any steps you must complete in that platform.

  6. Click Save and Connect Account.

  7. You may be redirected to the platform being integrated, where you must enter more information. Refer to the platform-specific article for details.

Configure the Inbound Integration

The inbound integration allows data created or managed in another platform to be imported. Claravine can import ad IDs, names, and additional metadata directly from our partner platforms, eliminating manual exports. You can then pass data downstream for more readable classifications, culminating in enriched data for improved dimensionality and segmentation in analysis.

To configure an inbound connector for your platform of choice:

  1. An Administrator must first configure the platform connector in Settings → Integrations → Accounts as described in the section above.

  2. In Settings → Templates, open an existing integration template or create a new one. (The template must contain all ID fields, platform name fields, and any additional metadata fields in the Define and Govern step--the second step in the navigation bar). ___

  3. Click Connect, then the plus (+) sign next to Inbound to add a new inbound integration.
The video below shows an inbound connection from Google Campaign Manager 360 to Claravine.

  4. Select the appropriate tile.
Below, the Google CM360 Inbound connector is selected.

  5. Enter the integration details, beginning with the integration name.
The example below illustrates the Meta Ads Manager integration details.

  6. Under Account Selection, select the connected account from the drop-down list.

  7. Specify your Data Selection. Available data types vary by platform.

  8. Schedule Sync to specify the import frequency. The default is every 8 hours.

  9. Select Integration Filters to limit the imported data. Available filters vary by platform. Many fields require at least one filter (often Start Date or End Date) to keep the size of the import manageable.
Multiple filters will behave as an 'AND' (intersection) filter, where each row must meet all the filter criteria.
Refer to the inbound integration filters table for your platform for list of relevant filters by data type.

  10. Map the fields from the platform to Claravine, clicking + Add New Mapping for each pair.

  11. Click Save to save the template.

You have just created an automatic import from the platform of your choice into Claravine.

Outbound configurations are discussed in the platform-specific article.
