Note: This is the new integration for Claravine + Meta Ads Manager. This new integration enables each data stream (Campaign, Ad Sets, Ad, Creatives) to live in separate templates. Benefits include less time required to update data sets, faster data loading, and more frequent data syncs. Use this new integration in all cases aside from passing a clickthrough URL from Claravine to Meta.
The Outbound URL Configuration is currently only supported through the Legacy Facebook Ads Manager Integration, but will be supported through the Meta Ads Manager Integration in the near future. Reach out to your Claravine customer success contact with any questions.
Claravine's platform integrates with Meta Ads Manager to import campaign metadata into a template and provide data governance on the campaign data taxonomy and naming conventions. Once the data has been imported, naming can be validated, modified, and populated back into the Meta Ads Manager platform. Additionally, it can be enriched with meta data and mapped into Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, or any cloud storage account for further analysis.

Note: If you receive an error stating that the account could not be linked to Facebook or Meta and that you should check your connection and try again, there is also a possibility that you're using a newly created Facebook or Meta account. There may be a 60-minute delay before new Facebook or Meta accounts can log in to any applications. This error can occur when your Facebook or Meta account has been created within the last 60 minutes, but it can take as long as 5-7 days for a new account to be able to log in.

Available Inbound Data Fields From Meta Ads Manager
The integration allows specific fields in Meta Ads Manager to automatically import data into a connected template.
-
Templates: Inbound Configuration
Claravine can import ad IDs, Names, and additional metadata directly from Meta Ads Manager, avoiding manual exports, then pass data downstream for more readable classifications and enriched data for improved dimensionality and segmentation in analysis.
Add Meta Ads Manager Inbound to a Template
To add Meta Ads Manager Inbound to a template:
- An Administrator must first connect the Ads Manager in Integrations → Accounts.
- Open or create the Integration Template in the Templates tab. The template must contain all ID fields, platform Name fields, and any additional metadata fields in Define and Govern.
- Click Connect.
- Click the plus sign (+) to add a new Inbound integration.
- Click Meta Ads Manager.
The Meta Ads Manager inbound configuration section displays.
-
Integration Details:
Integration Name is automatically populated for you with the template name. You may add additional text or rename the integration entirely. This is the name standard users will see for the integration in Datasets → Integrations for this connector (within templates they have permission to access and for templates which are assigned this connector by the Admin or Manager).
-
Account Selection:
Select the connected Account from the drop-down list. This is the account name that was given to the connector during initial setup in the Integrations → Account → Create connected account workflow.
-
Owned By:
Select the account responsible for this integration from the drop-down menu.
The Owned By setting determines who owns the rows created when Claravine ingests data from Meta. When data is synced, new rows are added to a Pending submission, which appears in Submissions → Pending. Each sync incrementally adds new rows to this pending submission.
From there, data can either be:
- Manually submitted into the dataset, or
- Automatically submitted if auto-submit is enabledFor example, if you’re an enterprise brand, you might add multiple integrations within a single template, and assign a different Owned By user to each one. This enables you to control visibility of Pending Submissions based on user groups.
Agency A can see only their rows. Agency B can see only their rows. The Brand can see all rows across the integration.
Data Selection
- Select which data stream to bring into a template.
Only one data stream can be configured per template. See available fields below to know which fields are available for each data selection.
- Campaigns: A campaign is the highest level organizational structure within an ad account and should represent a single objective, for example, to drive Page post engagement. Setting the objective of the campaign enforces validation on any ads added to that campaign to ensure they also have the correct objective.
- Ad Sets: Ad sets are groups of ads and are used to configure the budget and period the ads should run for in Meta.
- Ads: An ad object contains all of the information necessary to display an ad on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp, including the ad creative.
- Ad Creatives: Ad creatives contain just the visual elements of the ad and you can't change them once they're created in Meta.
- Confirm your selection at the confirmation dialog.
Schedule Sync
Scheduling a data sync tells the Data Standards Cloud the frequency at which this integration should sync data to and/or from Meta Ads Manager.
Integration Filters
Use integration filters to limit the data that gets synced to a template. Select an Ad Account.
The drop-down menu defaults to relevant options for the account assigned under Account Selections. You can add optional filters such as:- Campaign End Date (on or Before x Date)
- Campaign Start Date (On or After x Date)
- Campaign Status (Active, Paused, Deleted, Archived, In Process, etc.)
You can select up to the 3 available filters.
Include Performance Data
Toggle Include Performance Data ON to track display campaign performance metrics within the Campaign Health dashboard. This tool provides you with performance data alongside errors found within your rows for the campaign data within your Clarevine platform. Access the Campaign Health dashboard from the Datasets workflow. Refer to our Campaign Health article to learn more.
