Claravine can import IDs, Names, and additional metadata directly from a connected media platform, avoiding manual exports, then pass that data downstream for more readable classifications and enriched data for improved dimensionality and segmentation in analysis.
Add an Inbound Integration to a Template
To add an inbound integration to a template:
- An Administrator must first connect the platform account in Integrations → Connectors.
- Open or create the integration template. The template must contain all ID fields, platform name fields, and any additional metadata fields in Define and Govern.
-
Navigate to the Integrations section of the template.
- Click + Inbound integrations.
- Click the name of the platform you want to connect.
The inbound configuration section for that integration displays. - Integration Details: The Integration Name is automatically populated with the template name. You may add additional text or rename the integration entirely. This is the name standard users will see for the integration in Datasets → Integrations for this connector, within templates they have permission to access and templates the Admin or Manager has assigned this connector to.
- Account Selection: Select the connected account from the drop-down list. This is the account name given to the connector during initial setup in the Integrations → Account → Create connected account workflow.
- Owned By: Select the account responsible for this integration from the drop-down menu. Owned By determines who owns the rows created when Claravine ingests data from the connected platform. When data syncs, new rows are added to a Pending submission, which appears in Submissions → Pending. Each sync incrementally adds new rows to this pending submission. From there, data can either be submitted manually into the dataset, or submitted automatically if auto-submit is enabled. For example, an enterprise brand might add multiple integrations within a single template and assign a different Owned By user to each one. This controls visibility of Pending Submissions by user group: Agency A sees only their rows, Agency B sees only their rows, and the Brand sees all rows across the integration.
-
Data Selection: Select which data level to bring into a template. Only one data level can be configured per template. Available field options vary by data level:
- Level 1 (e.g., Campaign): The highest-level organizational structure in the account, representing a single objective. Setting the objective at this level enforces validation on anything added beneath it, to ensure it matches.
- Level 2 (e.g., Ad Set/Ad Group): A grouping used to configure the budget and run dates for the items within it.
- Level 3 (e.g., Ad): Contains all the information necessary to display an individual ad, including the creative.
- Level 4 (e.g., Ad Creative): Contains just the visual elements of the ad. These generally can't be changed once created on the platform.
- Confirm your selection at the confirmation dialog.
- Schedule Sync: Learn more about inbound integration sync schedules in the Sync Frequency for Inbound and Outbound Data support article.
-
Integration Filters: Use integration filters to limit the data that gets synced to a template. Select an Account. The drop-down menu defaults to relevant options for the account assigned under Account Selection. You can add optional filters such as:
- Level 1 End Date (on or before X date)
- Level 1 Start Date (on or after X date)
- Level 1 Status (e.g., Active, Paused, Archived, etc. Available options vary by platform.)
- You can select up to 3 available filters.
-
Field Mapping: For all data levels, the ID field is required when adding an integration to a template. In the Map From fields, select the field names in the template you want to map this inbound data to. Refer to each platform's integration support article to view the list of available inbound fields.
- Click + Add New Mapping to add additional platform fields to map with Claravine fields. Be sure to select the platform field as well as the field to map to in Claravine.
- If the account has Claravine AI enabled, click Auto-map Fields to automatically match the platform's fields to the corresponding fields in your template, without setting up each mapping manually. Manual mapping is still available if you prefer to map fields individually.
- Click Save to save the template.
Include Performance Data
Toggle Include Performance Data ON to track performance metrics within the Campaign Health dashboard. This tool shows performance data alongside errors found within your rows for the campaign data in your Claravine platform. Access the Campaign Health dashboard from the Datasets workflow. Refer to our Campaign Health article to learn more.
