Views of Related Data

Data Relationships is a Claravine feature that connects related templates, such as Campaigns, Ad Sets, and Ads, so you can navigate between them and export their data together in a single file. If your admin has configured Data Relationships for your account, you will see these connections reflected on your Datasets page and within your datasets.

What Are Data Relationships?

Marketing data has a natural hierarchy. A Campaign contains Ad Sets, and Ad Sets contain Ads. Data Relationships reflects that structure inside Claravine by formally linking templates that share related data.

As a user, you do not configure these connections. Your admin sets them up. Once they are in place, you gain two practical capabilities: the ability to navigate between related templates without going back to the main Datasets page, and the ability to export all related template data together in one file.

What Is a View?

A View is a named grouping of 2 to 8 related templates configured by your admin. It represents a complete campaign hierarchy, for example, a Campaign template, an Ad Set template, and an Ad template, organized into a single navigable structure.

Views appear on your Datasets page and are the foundation for cross-template navigation and unified exports.

On the Datasets page, toggle Group by View to organize your datasets according to their View structure. This makes it easy to see which templates belong together and access them as a unit.

Navigate Between Related Templates

Within any dataset that belongs to a View, you can use the template switcher to jump directly to a related template without leaving the page.

The template switcher is available in the following locations:

  • Create submission
  • Edit submission
  • Submission details
  • All tabs of the dataset page

To switch templates, click the template switcher and select the related template you want to view.

Export a View

When your templates are part of a View, you can export data from all related templates together in a single file rather than downloading separate exports and combining them manually.

To export a View:

  1. On the Datasets page, open a dataset that belongs to a View.
  2. Click Export View.
  3. Choose your export scope:
    • All objects in the View exports every record across all related templates.
    • Connected objects only exports records that have connections from the lowest level of the hierarchy (for example, only Ads that are linked up through Ad Sets to Campaigns).
  4. Download the file.

The export includes only the fields your admin has made visible in the View configuration.
