Use this article to learn how to force a user's password reset outside of the default schedule, and how to resent user invitation emails.
Password Resets
Claravine automatically requires a password reset after 90 days. Administrators or Managers with access to Users can force a password reset on the users' next login.
Note: This feature isn't available in SSO environments
To force a to change their password when they next log into Claravine:
- Navigate to Settings → Users.
The Users page displays. - Click the checkbox to the left of the user whose password you want to force-reset on their next login.
- Click Password Reset.
- A confirmation message displays, "Passwords Reset!"
- The user will not receive an email. When the user logs into Claravine next, they will be asked to reset their password.
Resend Emails With User Activation Links
When a user is added to the Claravine platform, they have 48 hours to accept the invitation email and activate their account; after 48 hours, the link is no longer valid. An admin can resend the invitation for one user or for multiple users in bulk.
- Navigate to Settings → Users.
- Optionally sort the user list in descending order of Last Login.
Users who have never logged in appear at the top with "Never" as their Last Login date. - Select the user or users to whom invitations should be re-sent.
You can select all users who have never logged in, for instance, by selecting the first user at the top, holding down the Shift key, and selecting the last user who has never logged in.
Once you make a selection, quick action buttons display at the top of the list. - Click the Resend Activation Link button.
Note that the button is enabled only if the selected users have never logged into the Claravine platform before. If a user has already activated their account, the button is disabled and a tooltip displays if you hover over it, as shown.
Once you click the Resend Activation Link button, a confirmation message that the link has been sent displays.
