Use this article to learn how to force a user's password reset outside of the default schedule, and how to resend user invitation emails.

Password Resets

Claravine automatically requires a password reset after 90 days. Administrators or Managers with access to Users can force a password reset on the user's next login.

Note: This feature isn't available in SSO environments.

To force users to change their password when they next log into Claravine:

  1. Navigate to Admin Settings → Organization → Users.
    The Users page displays.

  2. Click the checkbox to the left of the user whose password you want to force-reset on their next login.

  3. Click the Reset Password button.

  4. A confirmation message displays, "Passwords Reset!"

  5. The user will not receive an email. When the user logs into Claravine next, they will be asked to reset their password.

Resend Emails With User Activation Links

When a user is added to the Claravine platform, they have seven days to accept the invitation email and activate their account; after seven days, the link is no longer valid. An admin can resend the invitation for one user or for multiple users in bulk.

  1. Navigate to Admin Settings → Organization → Users.
    The Users page displays.

  2. Select the user status filter Invited

The table will show only users who have never logged in.

  3. Select the user or users to whom invitations should be re-sent.

You can select all users who have never logged in, for instance, by selecting the first user at the top, holding down the Shift key, and selecting the last user who has never logged in.

  4. Click Resend Invite

Once you click the Resend Activation Link button, a confirmation message that the link has been sent displays.
