Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is available as an extra level of security for your Claravine account. Once MFA is enabled, users will configure MFA with an authenticator app to generate a temporary code on their mobile device as an additional input with username and password to access their Claravine account.

Once MFA is enabled for your Claravine account by your Claravine rep, all users will be prompted to set it up for their accounts on their next login attempt. When a user clicks Login, the following screen displays, guiding them through configuration with an authenticator app of their choosing on their mobile device.

Authenticator app examples:

To set up MFA for their Claravine account, you must:

  1. Select the QR code scan option in the authenticator app recommended by your organization, and scan the QR code.
  2. Once the process is complete in your authenticator app, a temporary six-digit code becomes available to input into the Claravine MFA code field.
  3. Then click Submit and Continue to login.

Note that:

  • MFA is always required for login, even if the Remember Me check box is enabled (checking the box saves your username for future logins).
  • MFA applies to Claravine users logging in with username and password. SSO users should rely on their SSO provider to support MFA.
